Abbracciando molti dei principi consolidati associati a un pianoforte acustico, l'azione della tastiera Grand Feel III utilizzata dal CA79 combina materiali, movimento e meccanismo realistici per ricreare il tocco eccezionale dei migliori pianoforti a coda da concerto. Tutti gli ottantotto tasti in bianco e nero sono realizzati interamente con lunghi pezzi di legno, con superfici finemente strutturate avorio ed ebano applicate per assorbire l'umidità e favorire il controllo. Ogni chiave di legno ruota senza intoppi su un perno di equilibrio: le estremità si alzano e si abbassano per replicare il familiare movimento "altalenante" di un'azione di un pianoforte acustico. Quando viene premuto, la parte posteriore del tasto si solleva, azionando un martello ponderato per colpire un pressostato. Viene quindi misurata la quantità di forza applicata a questo interruttore e la nota corrispondente suonata con un carattere tonale e un volume autentici.
